oVertone is an innovative hair color brand that offers hair-healthy, color depositing conditioners. Their unique products allow users to add bold color to their hair directly from the shower in less than 15 minutes. oVertone’s products are vegan, cruelty-free, and suitable for all hair types, positioning the brand as a leader in the DIY hair color market.

Despite their strong brand identity and cult following, oVertone was facing challenges with drop-off in the purchase flow and lower-than-expected conversions on key product pages. They partnered with ConversionWise to better align their digital experience with user expectations and eliminate friction in the customer journey.

Our team deployed a series of CRO-focused initiatives including A/B tests, UX enhancements, and persuasive design updates that spotlighted product benefits and minimized purchase hesitation. This included optimizing PDPs for mobile, tightening the messaging hierarchy, and enhancing social proof to improve shopper trust.

These efforts helped drive substantial increases in both conversion rate and average order value, cementing oVertone’s leadership position and enabling them to scale their eCommerce operations with confidence.

Redesigned menu with more descriptive categories and subheadings. Created two variants, one with images and one without. The version with images was the winner.

Updated hero banner featuring straight-haired models, based on PP Surveys revealing most buyers have straight hair. Added a USP bar highlighting key benefits customers appreciate most.
