What is Q4?

Q4, also known as quarter four or the fourth quarter – is the last quarter of the financial year for both corporations and other organisations. It runs from 1st October – 31st December and has always the biggest sales quarter of the year!  So there’s no better time to draw people in with a Landing Page.

We know you’re probably feeling the pressure to end Q4 on a high so we’re going to talk you through how a Landing Page can skyrocket your conversion rate. More sales, more leads, more happy customers, more money for your company and a brilliant end to Q4… sounds great right?

Why is Q4 important in E-commerce & Lead-Gen?

The end of the year is often time when people buy – customers know that sales people are more likely to discount the later it gets, so they wait and get ready to buy. Of course, they are 100% right.

Let’s use us at Landing Page Guys an an example. We are currently running a 20% discount off ALL of our projects, for a whole month. We’ve extended Black Friday to a whole month!

Why? Because Black Friday and Q4 means people are looking to buy!

It’s no secret that popularity of shopping online has increased massively over the last few years, particularly at this time of year. Add the current pandemic into the mix and you have almost EVERYONE shopping online. Put a dollar in the metaphorical jar if you’ve shopped online in the last 12 months! GUILTY AS CHARGED.

This is where a landing page comes in.

The popularity of long days of sales have contributed to the birth of the 5-Day Sale, at minimum. Theses days (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Cyber Monday) combined can be worth more than any single month throughout the year.

Without a landing page to guide and steer these thousands of customers, you are MISSING OUT on sales/leads.

Why you are MISSING OUT without a Landing Page?

Did you know that it took ten years, from 2010 to January 2020, for digital sales to increase by 13%? But it only took five months, January to May 2020, for them to increase by a further 13%.
Covid has accelerated this. Lots of this traffic is mobile traffic.

Although this sounds great, according to Facebook’s insights most over-40s are still experiencing issues when shopping on mobile, with 70% saying there is friction due to poorly optimised websites and slow loading times. This is why NOW is the right time to get a optimised and fast loading landing page.

A landing page can convert any potential customers into actual REAL customers, or leads if you are generating leads. A landing page is a page designed with one very specific goal in mind and everything on the page effectively flows to ensure the user takes that desired action and completes that goal.

When creating a Landing Page it is important to have your goal in mind. Your goal determines the type of Landing Page you will need such as:

  • Direct Response Sales Page
  • Single Step or Multi-Step Lead Gen Page
  • Ecommerce Store
  • Advertorial

You pick your goal and your landing page gets people to take action on that goal and convert into leads/customers. The goal could be that you want to make a sale, collect a lead, get an email address etc. The overall goal of a landing page is to get that user to convert. If you can get your landing page to convert highly and correctly then you’re looking at marketing dollars back in your pocket. If you’re spending money per click (PPC) then each click is very important. We specialise in creating landing pages that convert!

Lead generation landing pages typically offer free items like an free trial, webinar ticket/space or a free e-book in return for the submission of contact information. You know you have a good landing page when it does its job – to convince a potential customer that it’s worth it to provide their personal details in exchange for whatever you have to offer or to buy that product.

Direct response Sales Pages are often used for E-Commerce stores and we recommend them as its a very clean and targeted way to sell one of your products directly to a consumer. Notice how we said one product? We’ll go into this in further detail below.

What we find with most E-Comm store owners is that they are often sending paid traffic to a product page directly on their E-Commerce store. There are many issues with this, when they are dropped into the store there are SO MANY distractions and ways for the user to exit the page – they have links to other products, social media links, contact links etc. STOP! This is distracting your user and stopping them taking the core action that you want them to take on the page.

This is why you NEED a Landing Page.

The Importance of a Landing Page

A landing page is a great way to drive traffic, improve your SEO and build your brand. It can also form part of an effective PPC strategy. Landing pages lead customers to a specific product, service or offer and encourage them to take action. If you can get your landing page to convert highly and correctly then you’re looking at marketing dollars back in your pocket. If you’re spending money per click (PPC) then each click is very important. We specialise in creating landing pages that convert!

What you need is a landing page with no distractions that is based on the AIDA principle.
Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. It’s our job to ensure that your customers take that all important action!

We do everything possible on your page to make them convert.

Amazing! So I just need ONE landing page? Great!

Well… yes and no. Marketing wizards would actually suggest that you have multiple landing pages, targeted toward different customer segments.

It’s not too late to make your Q4 great!

Make the most of the boom in online sales and use of digital media, stand out with a landing page that converts your visitors to sales or leads. Shopping in store is out, shopping online is in. For brands there is a big opportunity. Your Q4 can be massive if you prepare correctly! It’s not too late.

It’s your choice – you could sit back and have a mediocre fourth quarter, or you can make a plan with a landing page to convert these all important visitors to sales/leads this Q4.
